Maybe I should just get a tea pot and screw the kitchenette
June 08, 2007
Somebody broke the little red handle off the hot water spout in the kitchenette at work. I walked into the room with my mug in hand, ready for hot water and a tea bag, and instead I’m faced with thinking, which is not what you would normally expect to do when going for hot water and tea first thing in the morning. In fact it’s not even remotely recommended.
I’m kind of on auto pilot today anyway. Nobody slept well in our house last night. I’d sweat when the covers were on and freeze when they were off. So I never got comfortable, and I’m a little tired today. And like any day, it’s the little routines that get you through, and seriously, microwaved tea is about as satisfying as a kick to the groin.
I do recommend, however, if ever you are in a situation wherein you must wait for the microwave to heat your water, to pass the time by sniffing the tea bag. It takes the edge off.
Did I mention I need some sleep? Good.
