The solution obviously is to never use a towel again
June 15, 2007
I did something to my back the other morning while I was drying my hair with a towel. So I went around all yesterday in a sour mood because if felt like I got kicked between the shoulders. Which is different from all those other days when I’m in a sour mood, just because I don’t like the colour of the walls or something. Nope, this time there was actual physical pain.
I don’t mind the pain so much, it’s not that bad. What bugs me is that I don’t feel I’ve really earned the pain. It’s not like I hurt my back while wrestling a Cougar away from some Girl Scouts, or something equally harrowing. No, I was drying my hair with a towel.
And that in a nut shell is the underlying problem with modern man. Not enough well deserved pain. Fight Club had it right, I think, and I’m surprised there isn’t more of those sorts of things all over every suburbia in the country. Maybe there are, I don’t now. I’m too busy drying my hair with a towel to notice.
