Morning constitutional

I awoke this morning with the overwhelming feeling that things were simpler once. I’m not sure when. That provoked an intense and unexpected longing for this unfamiliar “simple”. Since there was none around to feed my fixation, I entered immediately into withdrawal. Dread. Deep seeded, hard coded, and much more familiar.

Somewhere deep inside the system, buried beneath miles of cables and circuits and cat hair is a small glowing led. But you’ll never see it.

That other day I woke up and started noticing pairs of things everywhere was so much cooler than this feeling.
