Wierd shuffle behaviour on iPod
April 09, 2008
I have several instances on my iPod Touch where a studio recording of a song has a doppleganger live version. Recently, and at enough frequency that I’ve noticed, a seemingly otherwise random shuffle will play both versions of the song back to back. This has happened for Iron Maiden, Tragically Hip, and Blind Melon songs that have live and studio versions. Bizarre.
UPDATE: It just happened again with Radiohead’s Like Spinning Plates. I Might Be Wrong: Live Recordings version, followed by Amnesiac version. What does it all mean? WHAT DOES IT ALL MEAN?!

didn't you know, these things are becoming sentient?
It starts with weird shuffle behaviour simply because the programming gets "annoyed" with genarating random numbers all the time and chooses to play the files in a non-random order. This is just the beginning, and all part of Steve Jobs' Master Plan to Become Supreme Overlord (MPBSO).
