The Art of Sir John Tenniel

March 23, 2009

Grandma’s Graphics is a great collection of vintage illustration. Typically pen and ink, a personal favourite. Among the best work is that of John Tenniel, best known for illustrating Alice in Wonderland, and Through the Looking Glass. His execution is outstanding, and the content is just trippy. Seriously, a caterpillar smoking a hookah? Only in 1865, man.
